Several years ago, when I was going through a transitional phase in my life, I decided to follow my dreams and bought a farm. A few months after purchasing the farm I brought home our first two goats Peri & Sid. I was immediately impressed by how intuitive the goats seemed to be. I fell in love with all their goat antics, and the different personalities they had and soon realized you could never have a bad day when you were in the barnyard. I was hooked. I started sharing our goat adventures on social media, leash walking them in the local park, hiking with them on dusty dirt roads near our house, sunning myself with them out in our back pasture. Pretty soon people started reaching out to me and asking if they could come over and meet these crazy goats of ours. The more we had this happen and the more we saw how the goats interacted with people the more we started to realize how much they could help enrich and bring joy to people's lives.
My partner and I combined have more than a decade in the Animal Welfare field. Our love for animals led us to our careers as Animal Control Officers. Serving in that position opened our eyes to a profound number of human struggles. We became immersed in a world where sometimes to help animals you had to lend a hand to help people as well. One thing that always struck me was how different every person's story was. The different paths that so many people walk. When I left my job as an Officer, I found myself still desperately wanting to make an impact in the lives of others. To make those raw human connections. Sometimes all anyone needs is someone to sit with them quietly and offer an ear to listen, and a caring heart that says, "I see you". That's why we're here. We, and the goats can't wait to meet you!
Your contribution will enable us to support our animals. We are very grateful for your generosity.
